Kawahara rose is a small tree/shrub.
It emerges a gorgeous pink, which fades over a couple of weeks .
The summer golden leaves seem to have a silver shimmer.
Turning yellow/orange in autumn. We have found Kawahara rose to be quite difficult and not very hardy and would recommend Isobel, Beni shirash, Beni tsuru or Beni tsukasa over this tree. If you want a really strong grower with pink spring foliage then I would choose Momoiro koyasan
