Acer palmatum 'Shishigashira' 1

A very slow growing small tree multi branched and sturdy in appearance. Known as the lions mane maple its leaves tend to grow in clumps.

Its leaves turn inwards almost touching, showing the undersides as well. It seems to fair pretty well in sun and wind and is bright orange and red in autumn.
