This maples bark is a lovely golden yellow with tinges of red, indeed like a japanese sunrise.
The leaves on this tree emerge in spring yellow/green, turning green for summer then golden for the autumn.
A great compliment to Acer palmatum 'Sango kaku' or even 'Eddisbury' which both have fantastic red branches and stems.
