Similar to Sango kaku but not as large and does not suffer as much die-back.
The spring foliage is bronze/green soon turning to fresh green standing out against the red bark.
summer comes the green leaves turn gold with red margins and autumn colour is truly outstanding with a variety of fluorescent red orange and golden leaves. 5-6 ft in ten years.
